My Alma Mater and My Fodder

My dad is a website designer.  Did you know that?  You can check out his own website, Sonoran Sites, and see for yourself.  Perhaps you could keep him in mind for your web-designing needs?  Recently he finished the website for Horizon High School’s choir.  I mention this because I went to Horizon High School and choir was. my. life.  So, giving props where props are due.  Dad, great job on the website!! Horizon, great job on the choirs!  If you are wondering, I was a part of the Towne Criers.  Unfortunately I didn’t have enough coordination to be a part of Step On Stage (a semi-Glee collaboration).  Check them out here!

GO HUSKIES!

p.s. I graduated a loooong time ago, so you won’t find pictures of me on here!

This Land Is Your Land

Emma’s kindergarten class is pretty much the cutest class ever.  They did a choir presentation singing songs they learned in their Core Knowledge curriculum.  Check our their performance of “This Land Is Your Land.”

April is Autism Awareness Month!

I know it’s the end of April already, and I apologize.  But things like this slip my mind because Emma isn’t diagnosed with autism.  But, as I’ve explained before, she definitely has characteristics on the spectrum.  So autism does and will always hold a special place in my heart.  Emma has been on a waiting list on and off for music therapy for years.  And, in fact, I have a name of a new lady that I need to call.  After watching this video, calling her will be on the top of my priority list.  Emma responds really well to music.  She’s always loved it.  Perhaps it’s in the blood…she loves to watch me play the piano (for about 38 seconds before she takes over the keyboard).  But many kids on the spectrum respond really well to music therapy.  Check out this video that I found on Dear cjane….I love this.
