Victory

It is with a lot of thought and hesitation that I tell you about our success.  Only now am I able to share our story because this chapter has come to an end.  6 weeks ago we filed due process with our school district.  “The End” had not ended well and we weren’t ready to accept defeat.  I am so happy to tell you that they agreed to settle, and Emma is getting the proper education that she needs, and all of the costs (and then some) will be picked up by the district.  My attorney suggested I tell this story with a “less is more” approach, but that’s simply not me.  Not that I want to blab about everything that went on, I want to share our story so that we can educate and encourage others who may be in our shoes.

Bottom line.  We filed.  They settled.  We won.  We are the victors.
