New Interest = Time Sucker
So, anyone who is creative is probably already in love with Pinterest. Consider that the wagon, and me jumping on board. LOVE that site, and could honestly spend way too much time there. Anyway, today I was on browsing around, and I found a great kids project that I would love to do this weekend for Emma’s hospital stay. Check this out!
So, yes, I buy a bottle of over-priced Voss water, drink it, fill it with dry rice and all sorts of little collectibles for her to search for. How great is this! Sounds quick and easy, though I doubt it will be that quick. My best bet is to probably head to JoAnn’s or Michael’s to find little cutesy stuff. I’m thinking things you might find in
a doll house.
Have you discovered Pinterest? What have you found?

DANGEROUS! Went to the “Apparel” page and in about 3 minutes I found 20 things I could make for myself. Going to have to forget about this site and never go back! LOL! Thanks for sharing! Love the water bottle idea.
I just got an invite recently. Haven’t gotten over there yet, but need to.
I did this same type project last time we went to Disney. I got 1 liter Ginger ale bottles, but this one looks better! And I used dried beans and lentils. I found lots of buttons and those little Japanese erasers at Michaels craft store. It was pretty noisy, but fun. I wrote down everything that was in the bottle and laminated it. Then they could have scavenger hunts. Like, find everything that starts with an A. Or find three animals. Or something yellow, ect.
Also, if you laminate, dry erase markers are nice because they can mark off what they find.
You might want to look at Mom’s minivan for some games. I know it’s not a road trip, but you’re pretty confined. Surely some of them would translate.
I laminated lots of stuff and put it in a binder so I could keep them busy. You could probably come up with hospital bingo. Things like band aids, the call button, a curtain, three of something, something blue, something that starts with a particular letter, ect. Anything to keep her occupied will keep things from being unbearable, I’m sure. Hope it goes well!
You’ll have to give me some Pinterest tips! I don’t even know how it works.
Love these ideas, especially Hospital Bingo. Thanks! I’m going to have to get my craft on in the next day! The thing with Pinterest is that it is a little confusing in the beginning. But once you browse around, you get more familiar. My boards I created were travel, home, food, kids, organization. Then I “repin” the ideas I like within my own boards. Hours you could get sucked into that site!
Um, yeah….you could get sucked in for hours!
